Maj3sty Aims To Bring Conscious Gospel Rap To BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher
The BET Hip Hop Awards is an iconic platform that reminds the black culture, annually how far hip hop has come. From T.I. to Tobe Nwigwe, Hip Hop has no boundaries and now Maj3sty wants to add something to the table.
“It’s a goal and a dream of mine. I have no doubt that one day I’ll be performing on BET. One day I’ll be in the BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher and one day I’ll perform at the BET Awards. I know that I have something to offer. Rapping and singing are just two things that I’m gifted with, but I know that I have a message and a purpose. Tobe Nwigwe stands on a platform that pushes everyone to walk in their purpose and find it. I stand in righteousness, that is what I want people to walk in and find.
I tend to call my music conscious gospel music there is no religion in it. I believe that religion divides people and that’s not including the individual biases that some artists already have. The culture hasn’t heard music like mine yet and I know for certain that when I step onto that stage something is going to shake loose. I’m not in the music industry for the money of the accolades, I’m here for Abba. I’m here for purpose..”
