Rapper, Songwriter, and Actress “Audie B” talks about love for her craft and more
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I have been an artist from a very young age, doing ballet & jazz and going on to being a dance teacher & choreographer. I have also had roles in movies such as Serial (Bad) Weddings 2. Throughout these years, whenever I had free time, I was always dancing and later also songwriting and rapping.
In 2018 I started working with independent music label JsMusik where I have fully focused on developing myself as a rap and hip hop artist. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I am so grateful I have been able to pursue this as my career.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Deception and rejection in the music and entertainment industry are always some of the challenges that must be overcome but then can also give you all the inspiration to focus on your work, dig deeper, or even come up with a song.
All of life’s challenges I face, I put on a piece of paper or dance it away. Its really important to stay focused on a goal, and visualize yourself as an artist. I have been also torn between many life choices, but that has never stopped me in accepting my fate with whatever decision I moved forward with, and most importantly learn from it and make the most out of it.
What are your plans for the near future?
I am constantly working on new tracks and releases. We are also working hard behind the scenes on many upcoming concerts and festivals this year with the team. I love traveling and hope to do some gigs in various countries this year. Look out for my new releases coming out very soon! 🙂
