Interview with Atlanta Based Hip Hop Artist ATM Curly

How did you come by your stage name?

I was given the nickname Curly in middle school for simply having curly hair. The abbreviation ATM stands for “After The Millions” which is the name of the brand my team and I created. I combined the two to create my stage name.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I discovered a love for my craft when I wrote my first song at age 12. I decided to pursue a career in it after seeing the reaction to the first song I ever recorded

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My friend Dom was and is a big influence on the shoes I wear. Other than that I credit myself which is one reason we have ATM clothing.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

I worked right beside my producer GuapDidIt one on one to create a project with a consistent vibe. We entitled it “Dash Bros.” as a play on Super Mario Smash Brothers

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I have no challenges that are in my control. Having dedication and focus is an attribute that separates successful people. It is something that I have been trying to perfect over my career and I know losing it would be my biggest downfall.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Yes

What are your plans for the near future?

I plan to release tons of new music and go on a college tour within upcoming months.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

To everyone who not only believes in me but supports me.

How can fans find you?

They can find me at my website www.atmcurly.com or @ATMCurly on all streaming and social media platforms!

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?

To think outside the box and to never quit pursuing their dream.
