When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
It started in the ’80s. Growing up, music was always part of my daily life. Getting dressed to music, going to sleep to music, this started back then and is still the case now. Due to my passion for music, I inherited an ear for talent and can normally tell when a new artist is going to be one to watch in the future.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I accredit myself because I’ve always tried to be a trendsetter, and sometimes wear items that are not currently in fashion but end up being so in the forthcoming months. You might catch me wearing Primark one day, then Gucci the next. Big fan of Zara as well as Dolce & Gabbana.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Networking was always a challenge for me when I started. I grew up with the mentality of not speaking to someone new unless they spoke to you. That was when I was young, but as time went on I saw the benefits of networking and speaking to different people. As the saying goes, it’s good to talk.
What are your plans for the near future?
My plan is to keep my ears open and continue sourcing new talent. I am currently working with a female artist in the UK called Isla Wolfe. She is a singer/songwriter, producer & engineer who is extremely talented. She is definitely one to watch.
