On a peaceful Saturday night, The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek was the location to hear the strong voice of LeAnn Rimes singing during her  “You and Me and Christmas Tour 2019”. A well-known lover of Christmas time with several Christmas CDs to her name. LeAnn Rimes was here to celebrate and share the season with her fans.

Starting the show was a talented and quiet singer Kalie Shorr. Singing songs that leaves you with messages from her experiences in life, you were inspired to listen. Ms. Shorr writes songs from the heart and would kindly explain the inspiration for her songs before singing them. Loaded with a guitar, smooth voice and playful personality the crowd was entertained and touched.

Coming to the stage next was Ms. Rimes whom the crowd gave a loud South Florida welcome. Wearing a black flower-patterned v-neck dress and unfortunately hat Rimes belted out her clean and clear rendition of Christmas songs. Walking the stage,  she said hello to happy fans as she sang. With her ever glowing smile she greeted the crowd, waved then let strong and beautiful voice go.

Singing I Still Believe in Christmas, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas… She had the crowd singing, dancing, and cheering. If Rimes’ goal was to take everyone back to the happier and simpler time of their youth, well she succeeded!

I was raised in upstate New York have always been visually inspired. Due to my father working at Kodak, I had the benefit of pursuing my photographic passion at a young age. As a child, I enjoyed doing artistic things such as dating and painting. Once a camera touched my fingers, I fell in love. The running joke that my friends and family said was that I slept with my camera. Being really shy, I was drawn towards capturing nature images and occasionally capturing people when they asked. Living in South Florida is a Godsend in the fact that I have so many opportunities to shoot a variety of topics: concerts, events, nature, and sports. I know that once I retire from teaching, I will spend my days and nights shooting in as many different towns as I can.
