Interview with rising star Joshuaflyboy

Joshuaflyboy was born Joshua Salas in Brooklyn New York on November 28, 1988. Salas is fiercely proud of his Dominican and Puerto Rican roots. This is evident in his Reggaeton and Latin Trap music. He has been fortunate to work with some amazing influences such as Jbalvin, Ozuna, Diddy, 6ix9ine, and many more.

This singer/songwriter developed his love for music very early singing in talent shows and in church choirs. And now he is proudly a partner with Sony Music. He looks forward to traveling the world and collaborating with more great artists. Watch his star rise!

How did you come by your stage name?

It all started like a social media name and then it became a music name.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I fall in love with music when I was 14. I saw artists like Romeo Santos and Daddy Yankee and always took inspiration from their art. When I was small I used to perform and since that time I always got a passion for music.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My style was made by myself. By watching the style of different artists you always catch inspiration. Number one rule for me is not to copy anyone else style but just watch looks that I like and create my own.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

In 2018 I came up with the song “Dime”. It means “Tell me” and a lot of people realated to it, they love it and then in 2019 I came out with another song “327”. It has over 35k streams on Spotify.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

A lot of people didn’t believe me. Friends and family always told me it’s wasting of time and I will not achieve anything but I continue doing what I like because I know dreams come true.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I think I am. Of course, there is a lot I need to learn but if you want to be better never stop learning, right?

What are your plans for the near future?

My plans are to be signed by a label that trusts in me, my music and keep making my dream come true.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

I would like to thank my fans and everyone who believes in me.

How can fans find you?

Fans always can find me in Instagram joshuaflyboy

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?

My advice for other artists is keep work hard on your dream. Never give up everyrthing is possible in life. Results are paid off. And always remember there is no day-off on your way to dream. If you think today you can relax. No. 1 lost day 2 steps back.

Joshuaflyboy and Marlexs have opened a show called Joshuaflyboy IG live its been making hits for the Latin community.
