Interview with Artist Kevin Amoh

How did you come by your stage name?

I always wanted to be 100% authentic so that part was relatively easy for me.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I can´t really remember a time when I did not sing or dance, it has always been a part of me. I´ve been singing all my life, but the moment I decided to take it seriously was in college. I went to school for economics but I lacked the passion for it. In the back of my mind music was always there, so I made the choice to try and find a way.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

So many people. Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Usher to name a few artists

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

R&B has always been a big part of my musical identity. my parents played a lot of music growing up so I must say I enjoy a little bit of everything but R&B is “Home”.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I am my biggest critic, so I had to face that side of myself. it didn’t really matter in the long run what other people told me about how good I sounded etc. I was very good at picking myself apart. But I know now what I can do and how to do it so my confidence has just been rising and is still rising to be honest with you.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

There is a lot of talented people out in the world, no doubt. But nobody can do what I can do, in my humble opinion.

What are your plans for the near future?

Just keep working, perfecting my craft. become the best version of myself.

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?

Don’t listen to too many opinions, even the “good ones”. try and stay neutral and be humble. don’t let anybody mess with you tho, stand up for yourself when need be.
