In this exclusive feature, Muzique Magazine sits down with María Diezma, one of fashion’s most compelling emerging talents. This in-depth interview highlights her creative vision, her global journey, and her mission to merge fashion, psychology, identity, and technology through her brand DIEZMA.
1. For those meeting you for the first time, how would you introduce yourself and the work that you do?
I’m María Diezma — an international fashion model, digital creator, and founder of my fashion brand, DIEZMA. My work lives at the intersection of style, psychology, and self-expression. Through modeling, content, and design, I explore how fashion can shape identity, empower women, and tell stories without words.
2. You were born and raised in Madrid. How did your upbringing influence the person you are today?
Growing up in Madrid gave me a strong sense of character, culture, and independence. It’s a city full of contrast — classic yet modern, calm yet intense — and I feel those energies inside me.
Beyond that, I carry something deeply Spanish within me: the warmth, the social intelligence, the adaptability, the generosity, and the natural ability to connect with people.
3. What first inspired you to pursue a career in international fashion modeling at such a young age?
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of images — how a single photo can transmit strength, vulnerability, elegance, or chaos. Modeling became the perfect language for me. It allowed me to express my inner world, to create art, and to step into versions of myself I didn’t even know existed.
4. You’ve modeled across Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. What has traveling taught you about people, culture, and yourself?
Traveling opened my eyes and softened my ego. It taught me that beauty looks different in every country, but connection feels the same everywhere.
Each country, each city, each place I’ve been to has stolen a little piece of my heart. Traveling has educated me, shaped me, and allowed me to meet people with different cultures, opinions, and ways of thinking. I love listening, learning, and being exposed to new perspectives — it opens my eyes, my mind, and of course, my soul. That’s the magic of traveling so much: every journey transforms you.
5. Beyond modeling, you are the founder and creative director of your own fashion brand, DIEZMA. What inspired you to create it?
DIEZMA was born from my desire to merge artistry, identity, and introspection. I wanted to create pieces that go beyond aesthetics — clothes that hold energy, intention, and personality. After years in the fashion industry, I felt ready to build something that carries my vision, not just my image.
6. How would you describe DIEZMA to someone who has never heard of it before? What makes it unique?
DIEZMA is elegance with a modern, soulful edge. It’s a brand that blends minimalism, structure, and emotional depth. Every piece is designed to make women feel powerful, aligned, and unforgettable. What makes it unique is its DNA: a fusion of high fashion, psychology, and innovation — including AI-enhanced creativity.
7. You’re passionate about the connection between fashion and identity. When did you first realize clothing could be a form of self-expression?
At some point I realized clothing was never “just clothing” for me. What I wore affected my energy, my confidence, and the way I moved in the world. I understood that fashion is a mirror — it reflects who we are, who we were, and who we want to become. That realization changed everything.
8. You also create online content about confidence, mindset, and spirituality. What motivated you to start sharing that side of your life?
Because I believe beauty starts from within. My journey hasn’t been perfect, and I’ve grown through both light and shadow. Sharing my mindset, my spirituality, and my experiences felt natural — I wanted other women to know they’re not alone, and that transformation is possible for all of us.
9. You are building a podcast around the psychological side of fashion. What do you hope listeners will take away from it?
I want people to see fashion as a language of the soul. My goal is to explore identity, confidence, authenticity, and the emotional meaning behind how we dress. If listeners walk away feeling more aware of themselves — more empowered, more connected, more awake — then it’s a success.
10. Balancing modeling, entrepreneurship, content creation, and public speaking is a lot. What does a typical day in your life look like?
My days are a balance of creativity, discipline, and construction. Everything I’m doing — modeling, DIEZMA, content, and my development as a speaker — is a process that’s being built step by step. With patience, dedication, and the understanding that success never happens overnight, I’m creating my path day by day.
Some days are shooting days, others are meetings, designing, or recording content, but all of it moves forward with intention. And of course, I’m always evolving — studying, learning, improving — so I can offer the best version of myself and bring meaningful content to the people who follow me.
11. You’ve been featured in major magazines like ¡HOLA! España. What are some of your dream clients to work with in the future?
I would love to work with brands that align with my vision — the kind of high-fashion houses that anyone would dream of: Dior, Jacquemus, Mugler, Versace…
But something has changed in me. Before, I was more focused on the finished job and the final result. Now, I want to connect with the story behind the brands — even smaller or less widely-known ones — and collaborate in a deeper, more meaningful way. I value purpose, authenticity, and intention more than the superficial aspect of prestige.
12. You often talk about female empowerment. What does empowering women through fashion mean to you?
Empowerment is not about perfection; it’s about permission. Fashion gives women permission to take up space, to express their essence, to feel magnetic and confident. Empowering women means reminding them that they are the protagonists of their lives — and their style is one of their strongest tools.
13. AI will play a part in the future of DIEZMA. For people unfamiliar with this concept, how would you explain the role AI can have in fashion?
For me, AI represents the future — not only in creativity, but in how we experience fashion. At DIEZMA, we want to fuse a clothing brand with the most innovative technology available, creating a synergy between design, identity, and digital evolution.
AI will support us in exploring new ideas, silhouettes, and concepts, of course — but more importantly, it will help us build a brand that lives both in the physical and technological world. It’s about expanding the boundaries of what a fashion house can be and stepping into the next era with intention and innovation.
14. What do you consider your biggest personal growth moment over the last few years?
Learning to choose myself. This path has made me stronger than I ever imagined. It taught me to set boundaries, to protect my energy, and to put myself first without guilt.
I went through experiences that forced me to grow, to let go, and to trust my intuition fiercely. My biggest transformation came when I realized that everything — career, love, creativity — improves when you’re aligned with your soul.
15. For someone just getting to know you, what’s one thing you want them to understand about your purpose and your vision for the future?
My purpose is to inspire authenticity and self-expression — through fashion, psychology, and creativity. I want to build a career and a brand that elevate women, reshape identity, and open doors for new forms of beauty and storytelling. My vision is global, spiritual, artistic, and unstoppable.
