Jana Angelova Interview with Muzique Magazine

Jana Angelova: Director, Writer, and Producer. Bulgarian-born documentary maker, author, artist, and model. A Bulgarian citizen and a UK resident; moved to England, UK for her university studies. A creative person with an interest in the arts since childhood. Academic background in social sciences, majoring in Psychology. My prior academic background from Bulgaria is in languages. Star sign – Virgo. Moon sign – Scorpio.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I have been involved with the arts from a young age, so the projects I have been working on in recent years are a continuation of that passion. In terms of writing, that is something I was interested in since school, and continued with essay writing at university. In terms of documentary making, I discovered it to be a good combination of my interests in photography and storytelling, so the hard work put in felt very rewarding.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I think that my style is personal, but I could be influenced in a way by some things I have seen and found inspirational.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

My e-book “Beauty secrets: simple natural ideas and tips from personal experience”  is my most recent project. It is something I wanted to share with an audience, interested in natural living and a more sustainable beauty routine.

Sustainability is currently a trendy topic, so why not apply a more sustainable approach to women’s beauty routines too. As discussed in the e-book, I found more natural approaches to personal grooming to be not only cost-effective but also give better and healthier results.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

In terms of work ethic, I am a very hard-working person. I like to finish projects to a standard and I consider myself to be polite and professional. When it comes to working challenges, I think that the whole world is currently facing changes that affect everyone; certainly, that reflects on the work-life too. But challenges are also opportunities.
