Interview with Actress, Singer, and Founder of Coach Your Craft TOYA NASH
How did you come by your stage/brand name?
My artist name is just my actual name.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I discovered my love for singing and acting like a child. I was always in plays, then started professionally as an adult.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I accredit my mom with my style. Hands down she’s the most stylish woman you’ll ever meet. I think she was a stylist in a previous life.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
My new single is called “Lost & Found” and it is about making it through obstacles. I’d personally gone through a very traumatic experience, and this song is about that journey, healing, and making it to the other side of it all. I think listeners will really be able to relate to the song and it is so relevant today with all that’s going on in the world right now.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
According to this year’s analytics, I now have TOYA NASH friends (fans of my music) in 53 countries, which is very exciting! I’d like to thank every single person across the globe who streamed, downloaded, and shared my music. I’m so appreciative. Very special shout out to TOYA NASH friends in Spain! They really loved my last single, “Now What” and streamed it more than any other country outside of the US.

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
This industry can be a roller coaster, but never forget that the opportunities that are for you are for YOU. Refuse to chase the embrace of the uninterested. Just keep at it and the ‘right’ people will catch your vibe and love it; be patient.
