Get To Know Sumthin Lite Entertainment

How did you come by your brand name?

We came up with Sumthin Lite off a phrase we used to say when we were growing up, which was “Sumthin Lite”.We decided to add Entertainment once we became a group. Now we are known as, Sumthin Lite Entertainment (SLE). The reason why we stuck with the name because it helps us weigh out our obstacles. Instead of thinking something is challenging, we like to look at it as something lite.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

We were always surrounded by music, but once we realized that we created a unique sound, we decided to take music seriously and actually start putting more time and dedication behind it. It made us realize that this may be our way out, as long as we stay consistent with our craft because consistency is key. We also learned that we can’t rush time, because being patient is going to get us we’re destined to be.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

We accredit our sense of style from our west coast legends, Mac Dre, E-40, Too Short, The Jacka, 2pac, and many other great legends.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

Growing up Bevis and Butthead was our favorite animated cartoon show to watch. When it came to putting our mixtape together, we decided to name it “Dynamic Duo”. The cover art represents us as Bevis and Butthead because the show always showcased them as a duo that was dynamic whenever they were together. As a group, we feel dynamic and unstoppable when we together as one.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

One thing we learned was to start Pushing our music to a higher degree. We learned that we have to really sit and take our time to make sure our work is patten and also have the right promotion. It’s one thing to make music, but if you tend to rush, you’ll find yourself in a repeated cycle that you would not want to be in. Our greatest attribute would be consistency because since we decided to take our music serious, we started to become more consistent. Being consistent also helps us with perfecting our craft and with marketing ourselves.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I wouldn’t say we’re the best, because we still have higher expectations that we want to meet as a group. I’ll say, we think we have the best new sound that creates a positive energy that people can vibe to.

What are your plans for the near future?

Our plan for the near future is to continue making music for the world can vibe and feel good too. We want our music to be able to reach the younger to the older generation.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

We want to shoutout to the whole SLE family and say thank you to everyone who believed in us since day one. Thank you to all our supporters and fans. We couldn’t make it happen without consistent love and support. We also want to shoutout to everyone who didn’t believe in us. The only way is up.

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?

Consistency is key, make sure to always stay consistent when perfecting your craft. You also want to have patience because you can not rush time because everyone has time. As long as your consistent, your time will come. Doubters going to doubt, but at the end of the day, you can’t let them change you. Only you can change yourself.
