Interview with Bestselling self-help author, Entrepreneur and Music composer Ghramae Johnson
My name is Ghramae (Gre-me) Johnson, a best-selling author, teacher, speaker, entrepreneur, life-coach, and music composer. Although ultimately I’m a life enthusiast who adores the ability to express himself through multiple channels. As far as I’m concerned they’re all a colorful expression of my soul.
I started my long and colorful career as a fashion designer, designing clothes for Soul 2 Soul, an international pop band after leaving college. At the same time, I jointly-owned and ran my own clothing shop. Although I deeply enjoyed this exciting and creative period in my life, my heart yearned for more.
I entered into the world of property investing and became pretty good, I began coaching other investors to expand their property portfolios. I wrote a book that gave keys to becoming financially free by investing in property and taught at seminars.
I then started to use more and more of my knowledge of psychology (accumulated from a degree course I took at Guildhall University), until it became the main topic I was teaching. I wrote a book called ‘Growth Mindset Secrets’ and to my surprise, it became a bestseller for approx 4-5 weeks.
At the same time, my interest in music grew and my ability as a pianist increased. Eventually, songs started to form out of my daily practice sessions. I call these daily piano sessions ‘my music meditations’ because literally switch off and get lost in the moment. My new album CALM is the first album to be given birth from these meditation moments.
How did you come by your brand name?
My name is Ghramae (Grey-me) Johnson, however, Flowetry.life – Is the name of my platform in which I place all my creative projects.
I am a bestselling self-help author (GROWTH MINDSET SECRETS), teacher, and coach. I just love all of the topics that help a person to live a life they love. As a teacher, I have been obsessed with learning and teaching individuals how to master different aspects of their lives.
This approach to life can be summed up as learning to Flow with the universal laws of life – Hense the name Flowetry. Life. Becoming poetic in one’s flow through life apposed to a constant resistance through life.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I started my fascination with my instrument and musical art when I walked past a large grand conference room that had a beautiful grand piano in the middle of it. I entered the empty room and approached the piano, walked around it a few times before sitting down and playing with each key. It mesmerized me and hooked me from that day.
It was more than 10 years later that I spontaneously walked into a shop and bought a small piano and when it was delivered, I started to practice. I wasn’t regularly practicing at first but as I became better, my desire to create my own music grew. Approx 8 years on and I’ve completed my first album called CALM.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Well, I was always a bit of a one-off, experimenter, wild card. My first career was a fashion designer, after college I walked straight into a designer position for a company called Mona Marketing, they placed me as a fashion designer for a very well-known pop band called Soul to Soul.
To cut a long story short, I think my sense of style is a little bit of many influences but as I mature, I am much more conservative in my presentation now.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
It was easy really, It was clear to me that the music I was creating was carrying healing, relaxing, aligning, and calming energy. All through its conception I subconsciously knew its name, it’s purpose, and style. As the album formed It simply confirmed what I already knew.
The album is called CALM, its a collection of songs that speak different things to different people. However, there is a healing, relaxing, aligning, and calming vibration that runs through all of the compositions.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
My greatest work ethic is LOVE, everything I do has to be crafted and grown out of Love, for the use of love.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
In all due respect, I don’t even see that as a useful question in my world, although amusing:). The truth is, I value everyone’s expression and I think every expression is nessacary. The concept of ‘the best’ is nonsense as each person receives something from an expression and something else from another expression.
So, in short, I love that there are infinite expressions to enjoy and be fed by.
What are your plans for the near future?
To make more music that connects deeply and touches more hearts worldwide. To write more bestselling books that teach, guide, and coach people into living lives they love living. To teach at live events like retreats and seminars. And to get involved in more entrepreneurial projects.
