RYNO talks about his new EP “The Distance”, sense of style and more

How did you come by your stage brand name?

The name RYNO was a little league baseball nickname I had and stuck around with my friends and family. I’ve always been a Yankees fan but the name originated with the old Chicago Cubs second baseman.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

My whole family is musical. Dad is a Music teacher, mom is a singer, and I’m the youngest of four boys who are all musicians. I realized from a very young age I wanted to pursue a career in music.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My musical style was strongly influenced by my family which draws a very wide spread of genres from Alternative, Pop, Rock, all the way to Musical Theater.”

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

‘The Distance’ EP is a three-song EP that is possibly the most personal and vulnerable lyric I’ve ever released. Sonically it’s the most cohesive batch of tunes I’ve worked on.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I’m honest and that is the best trait to share as an artist.

What are your plans for the near future?

‘The Distance’ EP will be available everywhere on 5/1/20 but while in quarantine from the Covid 19 pandemic, I started a weekly acoustic cover series #NotByMeMondays, The series consist of renditions of songs that have helped shape my ears over the years.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

Thanks to my collaborators, Brent Bodrug (co-writer/producer) from Toronto and Patch Boshell (co-producer, mix/master) from London. Also, DFinkDesign for helping with the Art!
