Interview With Up and Coming Artist Ameria

How did you come by your stage name?

My stage name is just a short version of my real name so that’s where Ameria came from.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I always liked music and loved listening to Tupac, Biggie and Eminem. So, I started writing my own songs and it just continued from there. Then I started mixing rap with singing and from there I just continued to create different methods and melodies.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I have a mixture of styles. I can go from the likes of Erykah Badu to Jhene Aiko, Beanz and Honey Cocaine. I can slow it down or I can go in on you.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

I have a few projects that I’m about to release but the one song I just released on Nov 26, 2019, was a song called Tonight. You can find that on youtube now. That song and concept were inspired by all my ladies who just won’t their man at home instead of in the streets all the time. (AMERIA – Tonight ft. Deway3)

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I work very hard day in and day out to learn more as an artist to grow. As in challenges, I won’t put that kind of pressure on myself because only the man above will help me navigate my way through. So, when my time comes everything that I worked hard for will come to life.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

You always have to think like you the best but I still have some growing to do as an artist but I will work my tail off till I get to that level.

What are your plans for the near future?

I’m just recording as much music as I can to build my brand. I have a few shows coming up in the Philippines in the near future and I’m very excited about that.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

I will like to send a shout out to God first for letting me pursue my dream. Shout out to my country the Philippines much love. Thank you to all my family and friends who support me and the ones who don’t I still love you all. Shout out to Deway and Leveled Up Music for the encouragement and leadership to make me progress as an artist.
