Interview with Hot Up and Coming Hip Hop Artist SO DOpe

How did you come by your stage name?

When I moved to Vegas I was just the youngest person in my group to have everything like my own place and car and money and they just started calling me SO DOpe.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I always knew I wanted to be a rap star as young as an age like 5 growing up listening to Mac Dre.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My style is unique so I would say myself but I’m definitely heavily influenced by Mac Dre and believe it or not Xzibit lol with a whole lot of bay area swag in there lol. I listen to a lot of reggae too. I love steel pulse.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

Well, I recently just dropped Real Amongst Fake my first album and I came up with the concept of just being a breath of fresh air to people who wanted to hear real rap again. I’m currently working on my second album I Aint Started Yet.

I have some pretty big features already with Famous Dex and GuapDad4000 to name a few and all beats by L Finguz my big bro. and a joint project with my bro AkaFrank as well produced by him. just trying to stay consistent and let my fans know in here to stay.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

Some of my challenges right now are working 12-14 hours a day and still trying to keep up with the studio while traveling state to state. I have a lot on my plate breeding dogs @supremebullycamp and trying to be a regular person at the same time.

And my greatest attribute I would say is my uniqueness and my outlook on life I can put it into my music for the fans to feel and relate to. I want everybody to be successful and happy no matter what they do and believe in themselves and you have my support.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

lol uuuum i have to let the fans decide that. In my opinion, I am great because I like it but hopefully, the music will speak for itself and I will have some platinum plaques and Grammy nominations in the near future.

What are your plans for the near future?

Just keep grinding working on music and bettering myself as a person. I believe my only competition is who I was yesterday. Making great music and interacting with my fans.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

Yes, I would like to thank my boy Jerome Knoxx @fashomoneyent and My boy ain @allbaymusicmagazine, my managers. They keep me ahead of the game and stay on me to put out great music and all the steps needed to take it to the next level. Of course my family my mom and grandmother and aunt for raising me right and my uncles as well. also my neighborhood Hillcrest in west Vallejo Cali.

How can fans find you?

My fans can find me on IG @sofucxindope or twitter @sofucxindope facebook @yp sofucxindope snapchat @sofucxindope and on all media outlets iTunes Spotify tidal and such.
