Interview with Celebrity Blogger Lionel B

How did you come by your stage brand name?

Funny story. When I first started out I was looking for a 9-5, and originally my YouTube name was my first name and real last time. Companies kept googling me and asking about my YouTube channel. I had one company really interested in hiring me but they wanted me to give up my channel because of a conflict of interest. I’m glad I didn’t listen to them because they offered me $50,000 a year, and I ended up making that amount all most every month with my channel. The Lionel B Show has always been on fire.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I watched a few videos but never was a fan of any celebrity news bloggers. I felt like I had something to add to the craft and my background in graphic design, video editing, and my way with words made the career a match made in happening. Through YouTube, I was offered so many more opportunities and business ventures that it’s just been a real positive experience all around. The feedback I got from viewers and subscribers has been incredible and they are super supportive.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I would say an Akademiks with more style and swag. We are similar maybe a little bit in the way we speak, you can tell that we are educated, but I’m different because I’m from the hood for real.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

I worked with an amazing team that offered me a new business venture on a new platform and they came with some ideas, I mixed them with my ideas and 3 different shows were born. The world is gonna see a lot more of me, my face, and all. On my YouTube channel, I don’t show my face that often, so this is going to be an exciting new experience.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I don’t feel like a lot of celebrity news personalities can outwork me. It really shows in my videos, from every element. If you watch my content, you will experience things in my videos you won’t find on any other channel, I do funny animated video effects, sound effects, video clips, it’s all an entertaining experience. I don’t believe in taking people to death for 5 to 15 minutes, I want it to be cinematic.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I definitely feel like I’m one of the best. Definitely the fastest growing celebrity news blogger hands down. I gained over 300,000 followers in less than a year, where the other channels took them close to 3 to 4 years to get that type of following.

What are your plans for the near future?

Doing a lot more tv show concepts, and maybe one day film and starting my own television network.
