Gucciprimetime Interview With Muzique Magazine
How did you come by your stage name?
Gucciprimetime, Big fan of Gucci mane at an early age. The nickname was Primetime in middle school because I played sports like Deion “primetime” Sanders
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
When my homie @spiffyvuitton showed me Mixcraft (the old program used to record and mix). It was a 14-day free trial so we had under 2 weeks to make songs. During that time, that process, all of it sparked my attention.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I grew up off of 90s R&B and early 2000s Hip-hop. That time period and the feeling of nostalgia is where I find myself pulling inspiration. From there I just add my own style and flare.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
Being in quarantine. Not being to see friends and family like you want to. Fantasizing about spending a single night with friends, partying like the old days.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
Yes but I’m not in competition with the next person. My music isn’t meant to compare to what other artists are doing. I try to connect with the listener on a different level create a feeling, mood, vibe.
How can fans find you?
