Interview with Up and Coming Artists Dmitry Chaplin
How did you come by your stage name?
When I was a student we often performed on stage. These were concerts, music competitions. I really like to speak in front of people and give them a good mood.it motivates me a lot.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I started making music 20 years ago. I always loved the sound of the guitar, so I entered a music school. My dad loved to listen to music, so there was always a lot of vinyl records in our house. when I saw someone playing the guitar, it was magic to me. this is an amazing feeling! My dad also knows how to play the guitar – he showed me the first chords.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
In a music college, I studied at the Department of Classical Music, so this genre is number one for me! but I also like to listen to different styles and different artists. it really inspires me as a composer. You need to be a versatile musician and listen to a lot of different music – this is my opinion.
On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?
Throughout my career, I have performed in duet, trios, groups, orchestras. For me, it is important the quality of the material that I write, so very often I do everything myself. My last album I wrote completely myself from beginning to end.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I am constantly working on myself. Thanks to my love for sports, I have no problems with discipline. I play the guitar every day for the last 20 years and I work very hard on myself every day. Thanks to this, I have 3 contracts with music companies.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m working on a new album. I’m looking for a new sound, constantly experimenting with styles and genres. I like to experiment. It seems to me that a musician needs to be original and creative in order to constantly evolve.

I want to say thanks to my parents, teachers and all my fans, my wife, who supports me and my work.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
I believe that the most important thing is to believe in yourself and your strength. You need to really love your business and look for motivation in people and the world around you. Our life is a very interesting journey. We should get the most out of life and enjoy every day. I want to wish you all good luck and love.
