How did you come by your stage name?

Well, My whole life everybody calls me Melly from family to friends and even associates. It comes from a part of my first name so I just took it ran with it my original stage name was Melly G but I took the G off and put Capone because Al Capone I like what he had going on and it was a new chapter in my life it just all made sense so I made the change.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I always had music around me, my pops been doing the whole Dj thing since I was a kid so that was a big inspiration to my career even if he never knew that & in school I just use to write raps when everybody else was taking notes I just never knew where I was going to record at then my brother jdub got the studio going a few years later and we been locked in ever since I knew it was time.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

Where I’m from , Atlanta play a big role in my style fasho.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

My newest single “For Keeps” is just basically about loyalty I’m real big on it and I’m real big on the people I keep around me so what my life consists of and what I got going on around me helps me with the concept.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenges would have to be getting people to get on the wave fr trying to show them I’m hard fr, my greatest attribute is my speed I can make a song so quick and it’s gone be hard fr a lot of artists can’t do that they are stuck on part of they take the time and the song still don’t be hard I really got a gift like with my voice too it’s crazy.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Fasho I’m the best everybody just don’t know it yet.

What are your plans for the near future?

Really just trying to go up go crazy with this music fr and hopefully it lead to more opportunities and blessings.
