Interview with music producer and DJ, Charlie Atom

Connect with Muzique Magazine @

Charlie Atom is a music producer and DJ that uses melody structures and sounds to create conceptual tracks, he also combines many music genres like classical, rock and pop.

How did you come by your stage name?

Actually I was looking for free domains .com and my name is Charlie, I also like geek stuff so I wanted to be known as a geeky DJ more than an evil hard-head. Charlie Atom was free so I got it, but funny story, one year I didn’t pay it and now some scammers bought it and want to re-sell to me again on 2,000 dollars!

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I love music since I’m a child. I play piano since I am 5 years old, then I learned guitar, bass, drums, and djing.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

Actually, I took my style from all the music I like, and that can be very variable; from classical music, rock, Latin, pop, etc.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

I’m trying to incorporate melodies to tell a story, every track I make should say something.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I try to make music that is good for you, even it’s played in loud places where people usually drink and do other stuff, I stick to the thought that music can be good and doesn’t necessarily have to do with that ambient. My music is more like going to the movies with your friends than going to the club to pick up some girls, you get me?

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I’m really good when it comes to melodies. I can easily listen and replicate almost all the music instantly with my keyboard. Sometimes I think people don’t understand some of my tracks cause I follow the notes so fast haha.

What are your plans for the near future?

I’d like to sign on the best labels first, then start creating something completely new. As we know, first you have to cooperate with the market, then you create and people will respect it.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

My parents for believing in me, also my friends! Really lots of people didn’t believe in me at the beginning and now they are starting to follow me because they see cool photos and achievements, but the real ones are the ones that were there from the beginning.

How can fans find you?

I’m always on Instagram as @charlieatom also can find me on Facebook, but if you want to listen to my music the best options are Spotify and Youtube, just look for Charlie Atom, I’m the only one haha.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?

Keep working, but don’t lose yourself. Be unique even if the market doesn’t like it.
