How did you come by the name BRĒIN?
BRĒIN came from a mix of my first name and wanting something unique to represent me and my music. Over time, the name started to fit the way I create too. A lot of my music comes straight from my thoughts, experiences, relationships, and emotions.
I write what I think and feel, even when it does not fully make sense in the moment, and eventually those thoughts turn into songs. Music has always been an escape for me and a way to process real situations, so BRĒIN represents both who I am and the mindset behind the music.
When did you discover your love for music, and what made you realize you wanted to pursue it seriously?
I started releasing music in 2018, but my interest in music started before then. What pushed me to take it seriously was realizing music gave me a way to express things I did not always say directly.
Over time, recording and seeing myself improve made me want to keep developing my sound and take the artist side more seriously. There is something about being able to look back at older music and hear your own growth that motivates you to keep going.
What influences your musical style?
My style comes from a mix of the music I listen to, my own experiences, and experimenting with different sounds. I like melodic Hip-Hop and Rap, but I also pull from R&B and more emotional records.
I try to keep my sound flexible instead of locking myself into one lane. I think having that flexibility gives me more freedom to create based on what I am feeling instead of worrying about whether every song fits into one specific category.
Tell us about your current release, “Fade’n Out.” Where did the concept come from?
“Fade’n Out” came from the feeling of watching a connection slowly lose what it once had. I wanted the song to capture the point where you realize something is changing, even when part of you still wants to hold onto it.
The song reflects relationships, distance, emotion, and the thoughts that come with accepting things for what they are. That kind of situation can bring up a lot of different emotions at once, and I wanted the record to represent that honestly.
What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what would you consider your greatest strength when it comes to your work ethic?
One of my biggest challenges is being overly critical of my own work. I’ll keep listening, changing small details, and trying to make the next song or project better than the last.
At the same time, that attention to detail is one of my strongest qualities. I stay patient with the process, keep learning, and keep working until the music feels right to me. Being critical can sometimes make the process longer, but it also pushes me to keep improving.
Do you consider yourself the best at what you do?
I wouldn’t say I’m the best because there is always room to grow. I focus more on becoming better than I was on my previous project.
Music is too broad for me to measure myself against everybody else. My goal is to build a sound people recognize as BRĒIN and keep improving with every release. I would rather focus on creating my own identity than constantly compare myself to other artists.
What are your plans for the near future?
My plans for the near future are to keep building BRĒIN into a name and sound people recognize. I want to release more music consistently, experiment with different sounds, and continue improving with every record.
I’m also focused on giving my older music a new life under BRĒIN while showing the growth between where I started and where I am now. I have more music in the works, and I want each release to give listeners another piece of who I am and where I’m headed.

What advice would you give to other emerging artists trying to establish themselves?
Stay consistent and give yourself time to develop. Do not rush to sound like whoever is popular at the moment. Learn your recording process, understand your sound, study the business side, and make sure your artist identity stays consistent across every platform.
Most importantly, keep releasing and let each project show your growth. Developing as an artist takes time, and every release is another opportunity to learn something and become better.
