Aye Mack Exclusive Interview with Muzique Magazine

How did you come by your stage name?

Aye Mack, it’s short for my legal name Adrian McAfee my homie put the twist on it when we met.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

Growing up in the early mornings my mom would clean the house blasting all types of music. Hanging with my uncles and older cousins played a more straight to the point type of music like rap/hip hop.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

Lil Wayne for being more versatile, DMX for having the passion to stay true to my story, T.I for the rhythm to ride a beat, and Kevin Gates to know how to become more aggressive when that point of the verse is needed.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

“Take Me In Or Take Me Out” that name stems from local dice games growing up. You get down to your last and you still put up and bet on yourself to get back in the game. It’s an all or nothing mentality Take Me In Or Take Me Out!

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenge is knowing how many people believe in me and see what I couldn’t about myself. It gives me the fuel to stick to my guns with everything I bring to the table. With that, I’ve gained the confidence to make myself more willing to be able to go for it. The attribute I love is my positivity I’m not easily bothered by what I may hear. I listen more to understand ether than react.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I never think of being the best because in hard times it can create doubt. I only know in this field I can leave out as a Great!

What are your plans for the near future?

My debut project “Take Me In Or Take Me Out” Hosted by Fat Joe is dropping this month January 15, 2021. Other than that content like videos and new music.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

My kids because I give up time I could spend with them to go after something not promised. But they luv every bit of it and me unconditionally. You have to LUV THEM, BABIES!

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?

The best thing you could ever do is be yourself. We all listen to artists from all over the world make sure when you hit the booth, do you? We are stepping into a world of criticism if you can’t take a little bit of it you may just be on the wrong pathway.
