Dorin Hirvi Interview with Muzique Magazine

Dorin Hirvi, a vocally captivating Artist from Israel, seems to have figured things out for herself. After enchanting listeners with her performance of Yellow Brick Road, Driver’s license and Take on me, Dorin Hirvi began to garner popularity in her native country.

Her ballad-style vocals and pop singer-songwriter approach set her up to be the next pop star out of the middle east. After feeling comfortable on stage, she moved on to acting in TV series, and short films, and even performing at prestigious concert venues. She has recently amassed a cult following on social media and is working on her next album.”

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I always loved singing from a young age but never had the courage to perform Infront of anyone.
It wasn’t until I was 15 that my friend convinced me to audition for the school quire. I did it, and it was probably the most terrifying audition of my life (and man, I had plenty).

It started from the quire, then I started recording in studios around town for fun, then I joined the IDF as a singer… and from these key beginnings in my life, I gained the confidence I have today – to perform on national TV, perform on huge events in front of the Israeli president, the prime minister, and on crazy venues like Caesarea Amphitheatre… Today, when I aim towards an International career, I truly feel like nothing can stop me.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

These days I’m working on my next album.  It’s a crazy exciting time in my life, and my ultimate goal is to create music that I feel I can connect to a hundred percent.  So it begins with inspiration. I get inspired by many things, starting from my feelings and emotions, to things like my sense of style and clothing. When I write a song, I usually see it in color. some of my songs are blue and purple, and others are hot pink or full rainbow glow.

I like writing about things that I experienced or wish to experience, with a little special touch on each song.  It’s amazing that the more I learn about myself, the better and more precise my music gets.
I work with incredibly talented people, producers, and live instrument players, that help me make my visions come to life to create pieces of art that I can be proud to call my own.

What are your plans for the near future?

Exciting stuff. To say it short; Releasing my next album, Creating music videos, performing live a lot, Creating my personal brand, and enjoying this incredible journey!  Definitely have some surprises up my sleeve, but I cannot tell just yet.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?

Loving and Believing in yourself is the key. It’s the base for everything in life, and especially for this business. Once you get that, it’s so important to never give up and to be proud of every success and every failure. give yourself credit for trying. This universe is so great and filled with opportunities… you can do anything! Believe – Work hard – Make it happen.
