What first got you into music?
My Mom always wanted to be a classical pianist, but she never had a chance to make her dream come true. When I turned two, my mom started taking me to piano classes and that’s how I started pursuing a career as a classical pianist. My teachers and mentors told my parents that I had great potential. A few years later, I started playing difficult classical pieces and touring all over Europe. All my childhood I devoted myself to classical music by playing piano and singing opera. I will stay forever grateful to my mother for such an opportunity.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
It’s very hard to define my music because it’s a fusion of pop, trap, soul, and classical music with a cinematic feel to it. I definitely love having strings, piano, and hip-hop beats in my songs. Generally, I write about problems in our society such as issues of our generation. I am that type of artist who always questions my reality and existence.
How do you come up with new songs?
I don’t write music; the music comes through me. I believe it’s a real gift that is being given to the artists from above. I never force myself to write anything. I think art needs to happen naturally. All we need to do is trust the flow and inspiration will come. From time to time, I hear music pretty loud in my head during my sleep. As soon as I wake up, I run towards my keyboard and record whatever I remember from my dream. It’s a miracle I can never find words for or some sort of explanation.
Do you sing in the shower? What songs?
Yes, I do. Usually I sing random melodies, thus I always come up with some cool ideas for my new songs.
Which artist would you most like to collaborate with?
Nf. I have so much respect for this artist. My soul resonates with his lyrics and his cinematic beats. I truly think he is unique and what’s more important – he is incredibly real, which is pretty rare nowadays.
In terms of performing live, where would you like to perform a live show the most?
For me it’s not about where, but with whom I am going to perform. My dream is to perform my original songs with a symphony orchestra for a large audience.
Besides singing, you also do acting. Can you tell us some of the projects you have worked on?
I was constantly playing in a theatre as I was growing up as I got a bachelor degree in acting.
I starred in a few music videos for different music artists; short movies and commercials. I was also featured in a movie called “My dinner with Herve” with Peter Dinklage on HBO.
What is the next project you are working on? Can you share some details?
Right now I am working on my new singles. I can’t wait to share my new music & messages. There is so much is going on in the world and I genuinely believe that my songs will encourage people to speak their truth.
