Deano talks about his craft, sense of style and more
How did you come by your stage name?
My real name is Dean but everyone calls me Deano. So it was an easy choice.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
Although I have played guitar for many years I only started writing/producing songs 5 years ago. I consider myself an inventor and writing songs fuels my need to invent. I loved it immediately. I am not pursuing music as a career. I am pursuing it for fun and it has been a blast !!! Beyond belief. I LOVE doing it. I am a songwriter for life.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit in the 70s and 80s the Rock and Roll + Blues influence was enormous but I also love Country, Hip Hop, Reggae, Motown, etc…. I love almost all types of music. I think my style is a mixture of many styles.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
At this time I am only trying to produce singles. so my current projects are only single songs. I find it a lot easier than trying to make an album.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
My greatest challenge is BY FAR working a full-time job and then doing my music in my “spare time”. I get off work at 7 pm then it is time to drive 50 minutes to the studio and get started. You gotta want it I guess.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I wish my music to be judged by its content. Let the music do the talking.
What are your plans for the near future?
I want to finish all of my current projects so I can make way for some great new stuff. I have some great Hip-Hop/Rock that I am eager to work on.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
My suggestion is to promote your music by whatever means. social media, radio, anything, etc… You might have the most beautiful tree in the forest but if you do not promote that tree very few people will ever see it.
