Interview with High Energy London Rock Band “Musicismost”
Musicismost was founded in the summer of 2020 by a bunch of guys who have never been in a band before! They thought “Why not – let’s give it a try!”
Currently, all of them are working in other areas just to pay the bills but who knows, this might work out! The guys have a whole album ready but are going to release one song every few months just to see how things go.
How did you come by your band name?
Musicismost – we think it’s the most important thing in the world – and hence the name came from this realization.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
We are a brand new band – only months old – but although we are not young, we had to give it a shot.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
We love Nirvana, Metallica, Beatles, we are a mix of these!
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
Only one single out – just released! We have a whole album, but it’s hard to connect all the songs together – some are heavy, some are RnB style … and the first is English flavored hard rock …. it’s hard to put us in one genre … but high energy rock is the best fit so far!
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
The challenge of getting your voice heard in millions of bands is the current struggle! All we can do is try our best and hope our music will touch people …. but it is an extra challenge when you start – we only have one song and that makes it more difficult to connect and create a connection.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
This is a difficult question – technically best … you hear Steve Vai or Malmsteen – they are incredible talents but they will never be a Nirvana ….. Jazz musicians – incredible talents, but only in niche circles are they appreciated ….. best for us is a mix of technical talent and a desire to be a big band of followers – this balance is the bane of most bands I think!
What are your plans for the near future?
Early days – the band is only a few months old – one song out …. we want to release 6 singles and then drop the album in Autumn (or fall for our US fans!!!).
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
We’d like to thank all those who made us step up and start this thing.
How can fans find you?
Our first song:
What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
Keep trying! But you have to tick so many boxes to become renowned …. too many to mention, and they apply to us. We still don’t know if we have what it takes, so I don’t think we are the best people to ask.
