Interview with RnB/PoP artist Nikia
Nikia is an RnB/Pop singer (Born in NY raised in California) who hailed from a family with a large musical background. Nikia started her professional career at the age of 13 and signed her first deal at the age of 15 with independent record label swooper records out of Los Angeles California. She released her first single “wanna get with you” at the age of 16 and made some waves in the industry.
Nikia went on to write and release a Spanish cross over album which made a big hit overseas. At the age of 18, Nikia went on the road and decided to take her talents to cross states. Later Nikia would come to release 3 albums 2 ep’s and 5 singles. Although it seems too long since her 2016 ep release of “she is me” Nikias new album “No Fairytale” is set to release later this year along with her reality series from sister to sister.
How did you come by your stage name?
It’s my God-given name.
When did you discover your love for music your craft, and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I was young when I heard the greatest love of all by Whitney Houston I knew I wanted to be a singer.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Everyday life.
On your current project, How did you come up with the concept?
The new single truth syrum ft wo Billz is an experience I’ve been through. The album No Fairytale due May 8th is just a journey of life.
What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist? and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Everything’s a challenge there are a lot of great artists and indie artists struggle to be heard. I have a lot of attributes the biggest one is I’m determined.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
In my own way yes.
What impression would you like fans to be left with after experiencing your craft?
I want fans to know I’m real from my lyrics to my music.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m working on a reality project, a radio show, and a Christmas EP.

First and foremost God, my mom for pushing me, Husband for being supportive, my team for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself, and the fans for loving my craft.
