At just 24 years old, Willie Wheels stands as a rare combination of discipline, danger, and depth. He’s got the voice of a soldier, the heart of a poet, and the mind of a strategist. The industry never came looking for him — and he didn’t wait to be invited. He was discovered by independent label boss Darrill Christy, founder of Smoked Out Mafia Music, and the architect behind this next generation movement.
“He ain’t just rapping,” Christy says. “He’s here to finish the work Pac started — but with structure, vision, and legacy in mind.”
Yes, that Pac. Because Willie’s story isn’t just about grind — it’s wrapped in legacy. He’s the cousin of the legendary Chris Hicks of the now-defunct C-Note Records, and it’s said that Tupac was his godfather’s brother. That puts him in direct spiritual and bloodline connection to the most potent voices in West Coast history. But Willie Wheels isn’t clout-chasing on anyone else’s name. He’s building his own. His debut single, “Yours Truly”, produced by Darrill Christy himself, is a layered, melodic, soul-wrenched statement of pain, purpose, and presence. It’s available now and already generating quiet noise across underground circuits.
“Yours Truly feels like a handwritten letter from the concrete,” says one early listener. “It’s not a song — it’s a warning, a prayer, and a prophecy all in one.”
Musically, Willie draws inspiration from the greats across regions — the speed and precision of Kansas City, the soul and structure of Oakland and Sacramento, the slap of Texas and Detroit, the hunger of the 209, the lyricism of Jersey, and the spiritual war cries of Los Angeles. But it’s the 530 that forged his soul.
“Marysville raised me. But God armed me,” Willie says.
He doesn’t glamorize street life — he confronts it. He’s vocal about his code: no rats, no abusers, no predators. And he’s a believer in God, giving Him the top praise — with Tupac second, as the voice who first made him believe music could be holy and hood at the same time.

“We can’t just get to where Pac was and turn around. We have to go further. Through roads he didn’t get to walk. With what the Outlawz didn’t have — a plan, and a purpose.”
