How did you come by your stage name?
Romysa is pronounced as Rome-Ice-Ah.
My stage name comes from a nickname that my grandpa gave me as a child. It stands for flower bouquet “somebody that lightens up the room”.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
My two elder sisters actually discovered my talents when I was eleven years old. I always enjoyed entertaining family and friends at gatherings. But I knew I wanted to pursue a serious career when I started to fall in love with the process of creating music and performing on stage.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I am obsessed with fashion! I feel like my whole vibe can be read by the way I dress. To me, fashion is a way of how I express myself, just like music. I get inspired by everything around me, it could be popular designers or up and coming brands and even fashion influencers. It all just comes down to making it your own and feeling confident. One of my favorites is Versace
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
One of the greatest challenges I had to go through was definitely my mindset, becoming more positive and not letting the disappointments, opinions of others or failures influence my determination. It helped me grow as an artist and person.
I feel like you can overcome anything if you have a bulletproof mindset. My greatest attribute when it comes to my work ethic is motivation. I’m very focused when it comes to accomplishing my goals.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I mean, there is always room left for growth. I just know that when I decide to go for something I always give it my all and go hard. I feel like what you put in is what you get back from the universe.
