Naomi Suzuki Interview with Muzique Magazine

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

When I was three years old when we sang and danced at a family party when the whole family was happy. When I was 10 years old when I won a piano competition, I was very grateful for the applause I received from the audience and I wanted to make the world happy with my music.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I want to be as I am always. I think that my own identity is important. I am Japanese, so I want to cherish the Japanese language and culture. But Integration with the West is also important

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

Social contribution activities are my lifestyle. I want to help with a project to deliver wheelchairs to disabled children in Ukraine. I am currently writing songs for them. Someday I want to deliver the song to the children of Ukraine.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

The biggest challenge is getting people all over the world to listen to my songs. It is not easy for the Japanese to challenge the world. That’s why I want to do my best. I hope that people around the world will be happy with music, have compassion and that there will be no more wars and conflicts.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I have high communication skills. You can also talk to animals and trees in the forest.
