How did you come by your stage name?

Lawrence Qualls / LQ MUSIC GROUP

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I realized at the age of 5 years old I wanted be to a professional drummer/ music producer. I started playing drums professionally at the age of 8 years old.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My sense of style is like the great “Quest Love” he is an incredible drummer/music producer in the music industry I admire his work and being a student of his from afar since high school.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

I came up with the concept of Arrhythmia from its core definition. As drummers, we are considered the heartbeat of the band. Which is the timekeeper, I wanted to apply the method of Arrhythmia to a musical composition demonstrating the element of Arrhythmia through the music production. In polyrhythms and abstract metric beats.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenges are focusing on promoting myself cause I’m so focused on creating music. Of course, now I’m making the proper strides to promote myself and release my own independently, however it’s a challenge wearing a million hats and still being able to create through it all.

My greatest attribute is that I am very creative and innovative… I am in music. It’s in my DNA. I have no other interest besides creating music… I am a multi-instrumentalist and it’s a joy to push my creativity every day.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Yes, I am. I’ve dedicated my entire life to being a music producer/musician. I have been playing instruments since I was 5 years old. Expanding my mind musically I feel I am a Musical Encyclopedia.
