James Roan Steals the Show at Hallandale Beach “V’s Couture Poetry Slam” Event

There’s been a lot of talk about this rising artist out of South Florida, his name is James Roan. He takes his work seriously and has a special way of sharing his talents with the world. He started out doing spoken word poetry back in high school, then progressed over to music.

However, when last month Ms. Vickie Smith reached out to Roan to perform at the “V’s Couture Poetry Slam”, and he gladly accepted the invitation. It gave James a chance to take it back to his roots and be in such a soulful and passionate atmosphere. This event took place at the Hallandale Beach Community Center on the 15th of March last month.

It was also a competition in which the best-judged poet would win a grand prize. However, James did not take part in the competition part of the show, he instead graced the stage performing his song “Time Shows”. The song is produced by Miami Producer ‘Richy B’ as he and James will both be releasing a full-length album titled “Elements of Life”.

The event was well put together, marketed, and hosted with fun and entertainment. Candyce Haynes hosted the event bringing more excitement overall through the day. Also, present were dozens of Vendors, Entrepreneurs, Poets, and Musicians who all came together to make the event a big success. James’s performance was well received by the audience and all present.

His flare, wardrobe, and positive energy made the event worthwhile. We are excited to see where James Roan takes his career next. He plans on changing the Hip-Hop genre for good.

There is also a full-length episode James documented for his YouTube channel. It shows the start of the event, the other contestants of the competition’s performances, as well as networking amongst different individuals present. It’s great to see creative people share their talents with the city they come from. Sharing their talents with their own communities makes them hometown heroes!
