Alex Genadinik Interview with Muzique Magazine

How did you come by your stage name?

My website is https://www.touchedbyasong.com and that’s also my music brand name. I came up with it because I like the experience of being inspired by music, and I aspire to do the same thing for others. So my music brand name gives an idea of that.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I have been wanting to pursue music for many years, but I’ve only recently gotten a real opportunity to do that because before that I had to work on my business. I run a sizable online education company at https://www.problemio.com and a B2B course licensing business described here: https://www.problemio.com/udemy/white-labeling-or-buying-udemy-courses.html – so most of my time is spent running that business. Music is a passion that I keep trying to get to.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I get a lot of inspiration from Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. They are really inspiring with the combination of their music and poetry.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

The current project combines Beethoven’s 5th Symphony and modern rock sounds. I always liked classical music, and I got a lot of inspiration from it. The 5th Symphony is such a famous piece, and it has so much energy that I really wanted to bring it to life.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

It’s hard to find the time. I have a full-time job running my business and a family. There seems to never be enough time in a day. That’s a challenge that is truly difficult to solve.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I enjoy writing poetry and setting it to music. I look forward to improving my skill at that. It’s difficult but very rewarding.

What are your plans for the near future?

I am planning a few more releases this Summer. I have a few songs that are nearly done.

How can fans find you?

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?

It’s probably not for me to advise, but to learn. There is so much I have to still learn and improve that my advice isn’t that valuable. But if I was to offer one of my strategies, it’s that I have to improve something with each song. Keep learning and improving.
