Interview with Gospel Artist Keisha Dreams
How did you come by your stage name?
My first name is Lakeisha, but people mostly call me Keisha. The name Dreams come from my stage name when I use to open up for artist back in college and so I decided to put them both together.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I was called by God to do gospel music. I was telling God no at first because I didn’t think I was capable, but when it almost cost me my life, I obeyed God and have been living for God and serving thru music since.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I believe my sense of style comes from the styles of music I grew up listening too. I use to listen to all kinds of music and I believe you can hear some of the versatility in my music.
On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?
Last year I came up with the concept from the title of my upcoming new book. The concept is based upon what God brought me thru, and more.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
The greatest challenge was moving forward believing God when I just came out one of the hardest seasons of my life like God brought me out of something so painful, and He allowed me to fight the good fight of faith.
God got me thru and I had to continue to stay focus and do the work He gave me to do. My greatest I think is perseverance, hard work, and creativity.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I’m here to be the best version of my self. To be great at everything God gives me to do, for He lives in me and God deserves the best to come out of me. I desire that what God invested in me will come out and bring Him great glory. I love God so much.
What are your plans for the near future?
A new album, book, and film.

I would like to thank God. I would like to thank my children, my parents, my family, friends, and all supporters.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Put God first and believe in yourself no matter what. Never stop believing in what God has hifted you to be and to become. Practice, practice, keep moving forward and never give up.
