Interview with Giuseppe Pignataro

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

It all started when I was little, I was around 4 or 5 years old. Mine was not a rich family and I also had several family problems and if we add to this that I didn’t even have a nice character, I was very shy and introverted, the music and the words I wrote were my lifelines, my way to escape from that environment and myself. And since then, music has always been something that helped me escape, which is why I continue to do it today.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

Haha I don’t think I have a sense of style, what I do, what I produce and what I write in the end are only feelings of my soul and I don’t think they have a predefined style but they have something personal, even if they influence me anyway. kind of all kinds of music.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

There are many challenges, the music market today is very varied and complex and it is difficult to get noticed, especially if you don’t have any major label behind you that distributes your projects. As for work ethics, I think dedication is one of the characteristics that I like most. I can commit myself body and soul to a project until I finish it.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

My ego would say yes. But the truth is no. I think there is always the possibility of improving and creating something new. Then the best simply does not exist, it is not a concept made for human beings since we are human and therefore we are not infallible. But I can tell you that I still try to be the best for what I can.

What are your plans for the near future?

My plans for the near future are still a bit to be defined, I am collaborating with different rappers of the Italian underground scene and many of the lyrics of songs that I think can be successful are mine;). I believe however that I will continue to write as much as I am doing. As for my personal projects, a sort of demo should come out shortly with some projects that were part of different musical genres, but which are united by a single line, my inspiring muse of this period. You know personally I still haven’t managed to settle on a single musical genre but I follow a lot of the sensations I feel and for this, I create and produce music of genres that sometimes are completely opposite to each other.
