How did you come by your stage name?

Honestly, it really just came to me. I was probably just riding in the car when the name ‘KILJ’ came into my mind.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I loved music way before I even thought about making my own but I discovered I wanted to pursue it seriously around early 2019 when I started dropping. I got so many messages from people saying how much my music positively impacted people and it’s been up ever since then.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I just do me when it comes to clothes and fashion. So I’d say nobody really inspired me or anything like that but I feel like my music has a lot to deal with the way I dress.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

Just reminiscing about the things I been through honestly. We all have some pain or struggle we had to get through so I tend to make emotional music most of the time so a lot of people can relate.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

Definitely doubting yourself. Even when you have mass amounts of people telling you every day that your songs are fire, it has to connect with yourself first. But despite this, I still work through it and work hours on end to finish songs.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I don’t believe there is a “best” because music is so subjective. However, I do have a lot of confidence in my work and know that one day I will go down as a legend.

What are your plans for the near future?

I wanna start touring and travel the world.
