CHRVNS Interview with Muzique Magazine

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

Honestly, the concept of sun seekers tape didn’t come to fruition until after a few songs were already made. I have a tendency of just creating a bunch of records and then later finding that common theme and then expanding on it.

It’s as if the idea is in the subconscious however once my conscious mind catches it; I hit the ground running with it. The concept being a duality of one who is always looking towards a better day and finding the light in things, along with always trying to obtain something that is always just out of reach.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

One of the greatest challenges that comes with my work is trying to wear so many hats at once. However that becomes the greatest attribute because I am able to work on every angle of a project but also knowing when to outsource or bring in a collaborator.

I fully believe and continue to improve my skill set, but I know there are others around that I work with that I know are able to execute X, Y, or Z better than I would. That’s when I take notes to make sure I can then complete that on the next go around.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

I’d like to give a thank you to my team for always keeping the motivation up and everyone pushing the envelope on creativity. And a big, big shoutout to my girlfriend/manager. She has been able to handle the business aspect of things which allows me to fully focus on the creative side of things.

How can fans find you?

Fans can find me on any platform (Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube , ect) by searching CHRVNS. I also have a website officially up and active which you can check out at chrvns.com .

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?

Two pieces of advice that I always even have to tell myself are; Discipline, you gotta keep the tools sharp and stay consistent. And two, always remember to have fun with it. If you’re not having fun with it, why are you even doing it?
