Get to know Steve Marinangeli
How did you come by your stage name?
It was very easy as I chose my original name to be my artist name too.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
During the lockdown, I discovered that I’m not that bad at writing song lyrics, so I was writing some songs for some weeks. Later, I also tried to make my own beats and instrumentals for my own songs. I’m not the singer of my song, I write to them and partly produce them together with professional producers and singers.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
My sense of style is pop music. I was always interested in who was the songwriter for the songs I really liked.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
For all the singles I put out already, I worked with a company called YourSongmaker. They gave me singers and they also had producers who transformed my lyrics and my ideas into a song. Now I’m looking for singers and producers to work with.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Some of the greatest challenges are finding artists who are willing to be a featuring artist on my songs.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
No, not at all. I would say I’m okay or average at writing songs, some are good some are less good, but I definitely need to improve with producing songs, so maybe I can produce a full song on my own in the future.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m working on my debut album. My plans are growing an audience and getting fans who enjoy my music.

I would like to thank my family, my mother Nadine, my father Claudio, my brother Mike and my Nonna for the support they are giving me. I would also love to thank my cousin Kelly and all my closest friend who always support me!
