MUZIQUE MAGAZINE INTERVIEWS THE ATIF

The ATif Interview

Muzique Magazine. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursuit a career in music?

The ATif. Before I started talking. It’s the only thing that feels good when it hits you- as Bob Marley said. For me it is cathartic. I started playing pianos and connected the whirlpool inside my soul with it- I sang before I can remember and then I picked guitar. Feel in love several times before I forgot who these songs were about.

Muzique Magazine. To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

The ATif. MJ, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams and million others.

Muzique Magazine. On your current/upcoming album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?

The ATif. I have an enlarged funny bone. I want to entertain people with songs that are naughty and not said. So this is again about the desire of everyone to have fun. When your body and soul is aching to party. That’s what we called Loved Fever in 80s. Today I call it Prickly Heat. Lots of pun intended.

Muzique Magazine. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

The ATif. Just at tuning with myself. Saying what I mean. Staying original and giving liberty to my team to improve and be creative. From session players to models and sound engineers. I let their creativity add-on to me by not confining them and setting them free.

Muzique Magazine. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?

The ATif. Feel good music. Music they can share with their friends. Music they can use to hit on girls. Lol. I want music with fun factor, loads of naughty, quirky, pick up lines, slapsticks and slangs you can only find in Urban Dictionary.

Muzique Magazine. What are your plans for the near future?

The ATif. Bunch of even more fun songs. Like If I was a Girl, Valentine, Serpentine, Frankenstein. Avalanche. Music/lyric videos. And then dubstep remixes of my MJ Rock Tributes.

Muzique Magazine. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

The ATif. Not anyone in particular we are huge team spread out all over the world. Connected with ideas. So shout out to everyone who is doing purist, original, creative, daring and disruptive work.
