How did you come by your stage name?
My stage name is Alex E International and when I first started to collaborate with rappers. J Cobi from Birmingham, AL and me were both have a down to earth conversation. He admitted to not knowing my ethnicity when he first met me. He said I looked white at first but when I was smiling I looked Asian and Mexican when I was around my family.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
When I released my first song “I’m a rider” for sale. Because I started as songwriting releasing my songs on YouTube for sale at age 13. I went to school and everyone keepers telling my song was bomb even people who hated were like I know we don’t like each other but your music is actually good. It made me feel like I finally belong somewhere.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
My style is just me I don’t really look at other artist and compare them to me.
On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?
I started my Ep “till Death Do is part” by writing my song “King” as a dis track to my ex-friends abandoning me but it was called “Bow down bitches.” Then kept writing more songs until I had 10 songs and choose only 5 at the end.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
I try not to see life as a challenge but as an adventure. I like to explore different areas and multitask as much as possible.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I’m the best at doing me then yes. Music is about doing you it’s not a competition it’s about working together to create art.
What are your plans for the near future?
Graduate from my University because I’m super close to being done.
