Interview with Kansas City Based Hip Hop Artist BOYBOII

How did you come by your stage name?

My older cousin described me like a chill and hype type guy and called me “Boyboy” I like the catchy name so I took it and ran with it spelled it differently “BoyBoii”

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

My brother “Jeff Jeff 2x” I was one of my role models growing up and he had a studio in the basement of the house, from there I was a fan of music and knew I wanted to make my own craft in the rap industry with different intentions to hopefully open others doors for me.

MAC Dre is my older brother and older sister’s favorite rapper growing up which poured into my bloodstream lovely.

MAC DRE who I idolize the passion and character he put into his flow was incredible.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

This is my second album, I wanted to give a project for the fans to get know more about me. “The Life of Boyboii” was great because I’m projecting the real image of me and my sense of humor sound and strong character.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenges are finishing songs, critiquing myself. My greatest attribute would be always promoting, always being inventive, writing hooks every day
