How did you come by your stage name?
My old artist name was Eli Makaveli and I changed it to Eli Da Vincii because I consider myself a great artist like Leonardo Da Vinci was.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I always loved writing short stories, poems, everything and I was in love with music. I was very shy and had bad anxiety so I never saw myself becoming a music artist. One day I rapped over a beat, fell in love with the creative process, and kept on going!
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
My New Single dropping in April called “Whole Lotta Hate” was just so New York; that’s where I was born. I like to channel my inner New Yorker in my music. When I heard that beat, I just started writing to it. I had so much aggression and cockiness it was crazy.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
My greatest challenge is my Procrastination and Anxiety. I feel like sometimes I pay too much attention to who isn’t supporting me or the dumb things, and not enough time into my actual love of music.
What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
FOCUS ON YOUR CRAFT!! Don’t worry about anything else, let your love of music overpower everything and you’ll get the results you want even faster.
