Brittany S Mason talks about her love for modeling and much more
Brittany S Mason is a fashion model based in Los Angeles, California. She is the face of Scott Barnes’s cosmetics among other major brands.
When did you discover your love for modeling and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I found out I loved modeling back in college when I had participated in a beauty pageant. Prior to the photoshoot there was a promotional shoot that I was part of and, I thought it was really cool and an amazing opportunity to “model”.
The woman taking the photos was cheering me on when she took them and I remember being super shy and embarrassed because I didn’t know that I was capable of modeling. I also remember having a friend on campus who would always take photos of me on her cellphone and we would take turns taking photos of each other pretending we were “models”
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Two of my favorite style bloggers are @micahgianelli and @annavasony
When and why did you decide to move to Los Angeles?
I was born in Lancaster, California but I moved to Los Angeles so that I could be local and available to book more modeling jobs.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Some of my greatest challenges were staying determined and continuing to pursue modeling (when I first started) because I didn’t have support from my family. I had to ride the train to get to jobs. And did not have a car at the time.
I had gotten kicked out of the house a lot when I was younger because my dad wanted me to quit modeling and I refused to. My greatest attribute when it comes to my worth ethic is my dedication and perseverance. I don’t take no for an answer.
Who is your role model?
Naomi Campbell and Nathalie Kelley are my role models.
What are your plans for the near future?
In the near future, I plan on buying a home, investing in real estate, and traveling more.

What suggestions do you have for other models like yourself?
Suggestions I have for models like myself are to stay focused and keep persevering. What you want is possible if you stay focused, keep putting out quality content. If you’ve submitted to agencies in your state and haven’t found one, try submitting to agencies in other countries.
