Interview with German Based Synthpop project “Buzzing Sound Candy”

Buzzing Sound Candy is a German Synthpop Project founded in 2016. It has been featuring various singers. Buzzing Sound Candy embodies the musical Synthpop spirit of the 80s.

With each new release, Buzzing Sound Candy is looking at new and exciting ways to explore the parameters of Electro Wave, Synthpop and Dark Wave. The Buzzing Sound Candy project was brought into life by J. “Rossi” Roshop, who is producer and songwriter. We interviewed him.

How did you come by your band name?

The band name should be like an identity, it should be unique and clearly characterize my music brand. It has, at some point, become “Buzzing Sound Candy”. Trust me, it takes a lot of research to find the adequate band name and at the same time make sure that it hasn’t been already taken!

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

Since I’ve had my first synthesizer, back in the 80s, which consequently empowered me to release my creativity and passion for music.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

To all the synthpop heroes of the 80s.

On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?

Each of my song projects starts in the flash of inner inspiration.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

Making music means transporting feelings. The biggest challenge is mastered as soon as the audience is feeling something and is virtually being taken on a trip.

One of my most important attributes in making music is patience. A really good piece of music will only be created if you just happen to capture the accurate creative moment!

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

There are so many creative and gifted musicians. Who can be the best? Who wants to measure it and HOW? In my opinion, when it comes to express what I personally feel, I definitely am the best in it.

What are your plans for the near future?

I’ll continue to produce songs in close collaboration with talented singers. For 2020 a song is going to be released with a professional cinematic music video.

Remain independent and keep your artistic freedom. Think and check carefully whom you want to work together with. Integrity & loyalty, last but not least reliability are as important as talent and passion!
