Shoutoutyoung Interview with Muzique Magazine

How did you come by your stage name?

Well actually I’m not only an artist but I’m a producer as well, and I just went by the name young, but one of my artists once said shoutoutyoung! In a song, I produced for him and I was like that’s hard! so I made it my producer tag and I went by the name.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I remember in middle school I use to always write little rhymes and I was always attached to certain songs and I wrote poems but when I got to high school I decided to record them so I brought a mic and a laptop and started to post my songs, I loved it and I had friends and family support behind it so I kept going.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

When it comes to producing I use to watch zaytoven make beats all the time, I actually taught myself how to play the piano because of zaytoven but I wanted to create my own style with it. and as far as being an artist I always liked creative artists like Lil Wayne, young thug, and future.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

Well, I just dropped a single called rewind and it’s about going back in time to get things right with your lover.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

Music is always changing and new trends always come up, I’m always able to adapt.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I’m always in competition with myself, forget everyone else I’m always trying to beat the old me.

What are your plans for the near future?

My plan is to work with the best in the game.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shoutouts?

I would love to thank my close friends because they were the ones that supported me first, support goes a long way.

How can fans find you?
