Lil Conscious talks about his sense of style, upcoming projects, and more
How did you come by your stage name?
I am a Gemini so growing up I always felt as if I lived a double life inside myself. I’ve always been very conscientious and when I opened my third eye I was able to control my other half, my alter ego! I created Lil Conscious to release my thoughts and creative ideas. It has helped me mentally not having to bottle up all of my Conscience thoughts.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
Honestly, my whole life music has always had a special place in my heart. I grew up struggling to handle my third eye and Music always calmed my energy. I found comfort in creating music.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Kodak black and Trippieredd created me.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
The new wave! No hate to the old generation but technology now a days with social media and etc makes it so much easier to be heard. In the studio is all I know! Vibing with the gang, smoking, recording those be the best nights
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
No, only because it’s clear that there are many artists above me, maybe I’ll grow more in time I just have to wait my turn. The game is the devil! And the majority of everyone just asking for handouts. I don’t want to sit here and point fingers at specific artist but there’s plenty of bad experiences.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m dropping again before 2020 ends that’s all I got to say.

Trippieredd. We got something made already! He’s the reason there’s a Lil conscious today! He and Kodak black made me and didn’t even know it. I’m their conscience. Trippieredd probably discovered new about a year ago! Shoutout Sunny!

What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
In the beginning, all I wanted to be a deal and record label attention! I thought that was the way out, but I’m doing just fine without them, and The deals I’ve rejected weren’t worth it. Don’t ask me to sign any 6 figure deal.
