J’Versatile Interview with Muzique Magazine

How did you come by your stage name?

I got the name J’Versatile by tapping into different genres of music such as Rap, R&B, Pop, and Gospel. Not only did I tap into those genres, but I also charted on iTunes in 3 of those genres.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I discovered the love of music when I was in high school, making my first song in 9th grade. I was also singing in church from a very early age. So it kind of stuck with me until this day.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I accredit my sense of style to Micheal Jackson, Chris Brown, and Eminem. Michael Jackson by being the king of pop, Chris Brown by being the voice of r&b during my era of growing up, and Eminem being the creation of hip hop.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

I just put the love into my music that I wish I had in real life and blended my vocals together to create a wonderful record

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

The greatest challenge in what I do is just standing out from other artists. Being the positive change during our music era is difficult because is not so popular compared to drill music. My greatest attribute has to be my vocal style and sound compared to other artists.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Yes, I believe I am the best at what I do because what I do takes patience time, and confidence.

What are your plans for the near future?

My plans are to get my music heard more hoping someone hears my message and that I can help them with my music. Another plan is to become a bigger figure and influencer/role model that people can look up to.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shoutouts?

I would love to thank God who made all this possible, and I would love to thank my supporters because you guys give me a bigger reason to go harder and stronger.

How can fans find you?

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
