Behind The Scenes
Interview with Drummer, Producer and Beatmaker Edu Corso
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I’m a professional Drummer that holds an Associate Degree in Music from EST SINODAL – São Leopoldo RS/ BRAZIL and a Certificate from LAMA ( Los Angeles Music Academy) – Pasadena CA/ USA, I’m also graduated in Music Production from Berklee Online. I was born and raised in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. I started playing drums at the age of 11. I played for big artists in my country of origin. I’m currently based in Los Angeles CA, performing and recording with many artists from all over the world.
So I started to play drums when I was 11 years old, and now I started to produce songs, and I run my own Record Label, it’s called Moonlight Music.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I grow up with my family singing and they played all the time in my home and it was always a great inspiration for me. Also, names like Led Zeppelin, Queen, Djavan, SPC, Elton John inspired me to move forward.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
The most important thing when you are creating is keeping the focus on your ideas and putting your soul into it. My latest release is a track I produced for the country-pop artist Alexia Anne, which I was very happy with. I’m currently working with an upcoming artist called Lola, and I just opened my own record label, management, and production company, for me the goals as a producer understands the Artist, that’s the concept, a new company who cares about the artist idea, every song I’m making is the new HIT, is the new baby, is the new future.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m graduating from Berklee Online, so my future is now! (rsrsrs), I hope to stay healthy and creative, I want to produce and play music for a long time. That’s the reason of my life.
How can fans find you?
What suggestions do you have for other artist like yourself?
Don’t Think Too Much, Creativity is more emotion and heart work than head work, don’t compare yourself to other ones. You’re unique, keep practicing, open your mind to receive all the information. Stay always positive.
