Shalkal is a Jamaican born dance hall/reggae artist, his music is infused with Jamaican metaphors, riddles, & Jamaican stories of the past and present.
How did you come by your stage name?
It’s my real name. My name is unique so I just decided to use it as my brand and my stage name.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I come from a musical background. There are many singers in my family and I was inspired by them.
On your upcoming project, how did you come up with the concept?
I draw inspiration from everyday life. The celebration on challenges that often emerge on our journey throughout life.
