How did you come by your stage name?
I took the Brand name from the Latin word meaning Basking in the warmth of the sun. It suited the Canadian climate especially as I look outside at the snow.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I grew up listening to music. It was always playing, more so than TV. I enjoy it and if I can be part of it, I wanted to. It’s an appreciation.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I like all styles of music. I do not want to be like someone else, I want my own flair. However, I do have influences from Debbie Harry, Kate Bush, and Evanescence. I enjoy their passionate storytelling performances.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
This year has been most difficult, not just on myself but everyone due to the pandemic. I have never experienced anything like this. This year has been challenging for everyone. I’ve been working hard to finish recording my debut EP which will come out in 2021.
I am just trying to stay focused and hope that we can get back to being some kind of normal? Through this year I have met so many talented people I have been able to work with. It’s uplifting. It has kept me going.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
